Yoga classes are taught according to the Sivananda (pronounced SHEE-vah-nahn-da) Hatha yoga style focusing on breath, stretching, asanas (postures) and relaxation. Build strength, body awareness and confidence. A regular practice of yoga will improve your well-being both physically and mentally.

Practice from the comfort of your home or office. All classes are offered online via Zoom. Private sessions are offered online via Zoom or at the OM+ Studio.
Yoga Basics is open to students of all levels who wish to improve their balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Classes will follow the Sivananda practice of 12 basic poses including inversions, backbends, forward bends, twists, balances, and variations.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring your mat and pillow to class.

Yoga Basics
Gentle Yoga is recommended for students who prefer guidance to build strength and flexibility. Whether you are experiencing stiffness, pain, injury, or any physically or mentally limiting condition or just struggling to keep up in regular yoga classes, practicing Gentle Yoga will help you lift and calm your spirits with breath, meditation, and yoga asanas (poses) adapted for your capabilities. Every student receives personal attention and guidance through their practice with modifications that make sense for them.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring your mat, pillow, blocks (if available), chair and a blanket or cover to class.

Gentle (Adaptive) Yoga
Most everyone can do this type of yoga, from people in wheelchairs to those managing injury or chronic illness. Chair Yoga helps you to find mobility in a gentle, supportive way. It’s wonderfully adaptive and inclusive, especially for those who are looking to improve their strength and flexibility, focus and concentration, and manage stress and pain. Every chair yoga session ends with a calming, guided relaxation.
